We have turned on Runaway Global Warming and set in motion dozens of highly-destructive Global Climate Changes.   To say  that more bluntly, we've turned on Nature's Doomsday Machine.    Runaway Global Warming, if not turned around within the next five to eight years, will, within a matter of a few decades,  produce results so profound and so drastic and so devastating that any humans who survives such a change will find little left that is even recognizable.

Summary:

Here's a very brief summary of Runaway Global Warming and the highly-destructive Global Climate Changes that come with it:   

There are 10,000 billion tons of methane frozen in the Arctic and Siberian tundra.   Human-caused  global-temperature-rise is causing the polar ice cap to melt.   The melting is releasing this extremely destructive gas into the atmosphere.  (Methane is 21 times more destructive than co2.)   Because global warming is increasing at an alarming rate, each year we are releasing a larger portion of that 10,000 billion tons of methane. 

Unless we turn this cycle off within the next five to eight years,  it will become unstoppable.   

If this self-expanding cycle is allowed to continue, the Earth's temperature will rise by about eighteen degrees well before the end of this century.   The environment will be drastically altered.  The changes will kill billions of humans, including your family and very possibly, every other human being, as well.   All large life forms on the entire planet will die.   About fifty percent of all life forms on the planet will become extinct.   

If Runaway Global Warming is allowed to continue, the possibility of human extinction is no longer a fantasy of the foolish (and the paranoid).   It is, and very likely could be, the inevitable consequence of human ignorance and apathy.
